About Our Soap Making Supplies
We offer a large selection of soap
making supplies
and fragrance
oils
for the Home Crafter and the Professional Soap Maker. We carry approximately 100 cosmetic
safe fragrances for
making soap, making
candles and making potpourri. Cosmetic safe fragrances
can be used to make melt and pour soap
glycerin soap, body lotions, hand lotions, body butters,
creams, shampoos, bath salt, bath bombs and more. Fragrances
that contain cinnamon
(which can be a skin and eye irritant) are listed with a caution in the description section.
These fragrances; even though they are considered cosmetic grade fragrance oils, should be avoided when making soap, body
lotions, creams, body butters, body mists
and milks, and any other cosmetic products that may come in contact
with sensitive areas of the body.
All of the fragrance oils
that we carry are at wholesale prices and can also
be used to make potpourri, incense, as a potpourri refresher oil,
crystal potpourri, to make air fresheners, used
in simmering pots and fragrance oil burners, and all other scented crafts.
We also carry a large selection of base
oils, carrier oils and additives
for soapmaking. We now carry Refined Shea Butter
and Unrefined Shea Butter, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Babassu Oil, Cottonseed Oil, Palm Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Palm Kernel Flakes, 76 Degree Coconut Oil, 92 Degree Coconut Oil, Safflower Oil, Sesame Oil
and Soy Oil. We also carry Vitamin E, Witch Hazel and two types of preservatives
- Germaben II and Sodium Benzoate.
We also blend our own Massage Oil and a
Moisturizing Blend that can be used for making soap, body lotions, hand lotions, creams and other
cosmetic products. The Massage Oil and the Moisturizing Blend are unscented. Both oils can be scented by adding a little cosmetic safe fragrance oil.
Some of the other supplies
that we carry are: White Beeswax
and Emulsifying Wax, Cocoa Butter, Evening Primrose Oil, Lanolin, Aloe Vera, Unbleached Lecithin, and
Stearic Acid which can be used to make glycerin soap or candle wax harder. By adding a little stearic acid to your glycerin soap, the bars of soap will last a longer. Adding stearic acid to candle wax
will make the candle burn slower.
All of our fragrances
are oil based - none are diluted. If you need a water based fragrance, we carry Triton X-102. Triton X-102 is a detergent that will
break down the fragrance
oil
so it blends with water and won't separate.
We carry three different type of melt and pour glycerin soap
base. Clear Glycerin Soap, White Glycerin Soap
( which is sometimes called Opaque Glycerin Soap
), and Goats Milk Glycerin Soap. All three glycerin soap bases
are sold in 2 pound blocks or 20 pound blocks. The 20 pound blocks approximately measure 12 x 10 x 8 inches. We have basic
soapmaking instructions
listed on our Recipe Page. The
Recipe
Link can be found at the top of every page. Besides
having basic soap making instructions,
there's instructions for making bath salts, bath bombs, body moisturizers
and lotion bars.
We also
sell small crystal sea salt
that can be used as it or you may add
dye or pigment to it. For your convenience, we also carry a variety of colored sea salts. Just stir
in one teaspoon of any one of our cosmetic safe fragrances
to every pound of sea salt. then all you have to do is package it.
We also sell soap cutters, digital scales, and thermometers
for all of your soapmaking
and lotion making needs. We carry two types of soap cutters, one is a stainless steel straight edge soap cutter
and the other is a ripple soap cutter. The ripple soap cutter
adds a grooved surface to the slices of soap. It's especially nice when working with cold process soap.
We carry variety
of soap molds. We have several rubber soap molds
that are great for children's soaps
or as guest size bars of soap. Each rubber mold
has several cavities with each cavity holding approximately 1/2 oz. of soap. These soap
molds
can be found on Page 1 of the soap molds. There are several soap molds
that are made of clear PVC plastic. These molds
can be found on Page 2 of our soap molds. The PVC soap molds
are low cost soap molds
that work with melt and pour glycerin soap
and cold process soap. The third type of soap mold
that we carry is polystyrene mold. These soapmaking molds
have very sharp and clear detail to them. They also come in shapes that have no detail at
all. There are two types of polystyrene soap molds, the first type is
an open face mold
that has 4 cavities to pour the soap
into. The other type of polystyrene soap making molds are the 3D molds. These soap molds
make a single bar of soap. These types of soapmaking molds are a two piece mold that snaps together. |
